About Your Visa Gift Card
Visa gift cards are prepaid cards that can be used everywhere Visa debit cards are accepted within the United States and the District of Columbia. They are a convenient alternative to cash for everyday purchases, online shopping, and gift giving. Each card comes with a set dollar amount that decreases with every purchase you make.
Your card is issued by Pathward, N.A., Member FDIC, or Sunrise Banks, N.A., St. Paul, MN 55103, Member FDIC, pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A. Inc. The card may not be used at merchants outside of the United States or the District of Columbia, including internet and mail or telephone order merchants located outside the U.S.
Funds loaded onto your Visa gift card do not expire. However, a monthly maintenance fee may apply after 12 consecutive months of inactivity. Refer to the Cardholder Agreement that came with your card for the complete fee schedule and terms of use.
Common Questions
Where can I use my Visa gift card?
Your card is accepted at any merchant in the United States that takes Visa debit cards, both in store and online. The card cannot be used internationally or at ATMs unless a PIN has been set.
Why was my card declined even though I have a balance?
A transaction may be declined if the purchase amount exceeds your available balance. Visa gift cards cannot be used for split payments at most merchants. Try a purchase for a smaller amount or ask the cashier to charge an exact amount to the card.
How do I set a PIN on my Visa gift card?
Some Visa gift cards support PIN setup for debit transactions. Use the Set PIN tab above or contact customer service at the number on the back of your card to create a 4-digit PIN.
What should I do if my card is lost or stolen?
Contact customer service immediately using the phone number on the back of your card. You will need to provide your card number and personal information to freeze the account and request a replacement.
